Jarvis was homeless when he first came to the Friary but is now in stable accommodation. He talks of his experiences and how the Friary has helped him into recovery:

‘My bubble burst, the whole structure and stability I had just disappeared into thin air and I found myself like the nowhere man. And I didn’t know what to do, I was sofa surfing and making bad friends. And somebody mentioned the Friary to me, and I found it, and it was like a sanctuary. Some humanity came back and it got me to a position where I’ve got a nice home now. And I’m rebuilding everything now and I can see a sort of light at the end. It was just the kindness that I thought never existed again. It’s like a helping hand and it’s given me the confidence to carry on’

The Friary needs to be able to sustain its support for local people like Jarvis but we need you to help us help them! We have set us this community appeal to invite our community to help make the difference by giving financial support to the Friary.
