…and appreciate the kindness and dedication of our many volunteers who have supported us so far.
In light of Covid-19, the Friary is now delivering its services in very different ways.
Whilst we still support visitors to the Drop-in Centre and Advice Centre, the openings for volunteering need to capture a more targeted approach to ensure that service delivery continues in a a Covid-secure way and therefore an increase in the number of volunteers, at present, may not be appropriate to meet the needs of the Friary.
However, if you are interested in the outdoors, the Friary allotments bring together much of what the Friary is all about and, despite the pandemic, still allows for volunteering opportunities within our 3 allotments.
So, if it’s the great outdoors that appeals to you or you feel you have other specific skills and abilities that can support the move forward of the Friary, please let us know by email at:-

Are you an employee? Might your employer support this local charity by sending volunteers, fundraising or offering services? Maybe the company you work for is looking for a Charity of the Year to support or has access to a Charitable Trust? Perhaps you run your own business and wish to support a local charity but haven’t much time to invest in doing so? We can help.
If your employer offers “matched-funding” and you want to help boost funds for the Friary then please contact us. There are many ways local businesses can support us without taking up too much time! We have experience in enabling help.
If you as an individual or organisation wish to organise a fundraiser on our behalf, do get in touch with our office and we will support you as best we can. We have benefitted from some great initiatives and know from experience that people are motivated to raise money by doing what they enjoy!
