Come along to The Botanist, test your knowledge and raise your glasses to local Charity the Friary.
Charity Quiz nights hosted every Wednesday evening at The Botanist in West Bridgford, offer customers the chance to socialise & relax over a drink and food after recent lockdowns whilst providing easy-going, socially distanced fundraising for local charity, the Friary. Welfare benefits advice at the Friary’s recently opened Friary Advice Centre on Musters Road next door to the Drop-In is being stepped up this month to take into account the anticipated increase in demand from local people falling into financial hardship. Help is on hand to those who need it, simply contact the Friary to make an appointment, please tell people not to be afraid to ask for help. Homelessness can be closer than people think so preventative measures are best to take early.
Quiz nights, all socially distanced, have already raised approx £100 per evening from local fun-loving participants wanting to do their bit for a great cause. To boost funds further, a voluntary donation of £1 is being added to a diner’s bill throughout June/July to draw attention to this charity’s work and hopefully supplement fundraising that wasn’t always possible for the Friary during lockdown. In addition to this, the venue plans to branch out from its quizzes and relaunch its highly anticipated Musical Bingo sessions on the last Wednesday of each Month for the same cause.
