The Friary's Allotment Project: Let's Grow Together
At the Friary’s Allotment Project: Let’s Grow Together, visitors can take part in a variety of activities in a peaceful outdoor space. We enjoy gardening, cooking, arts and crafts, and mindfulness.
“The aim of our allotment project is to transform existing allotment plots into an area where we could deliver a wellbeing project. It has been an undoubted success. Visitors to the project have reported significant improvement in their mental health with feedback such as “I feel like part of a family” and “It gives me something to get up for”. We have seen visitors to the project exhibit and win prizes in the West Bridgford Horticultural Show. This is both a fantastic achievement and a huge confidence boost to people who have gone through difficult periods in their lives.”
– CEO Ben Talbot
Allotment sessions take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am-2pm. We meet at the Friary Drop-In Centre at 46 Musters Road, NG2 7PR and walk down to our allotment site together.
